£500 donation sends Daylight Club on Safari

We have just donated £500 to The Daylight Club, a friendly social club for adults of working age with physical disabilities who live within the City & District of St Albans, allowing members to enjoy a day trip to Woburn Safari Park.

The Daylight Club is a member led club that provides a safe and supportive environment where members meet twice a week to participate in a variety of interactive workshops, guest speakers, day trips and community events.

“We had a lovely day at Woburn last Wednesday and it was really nice that the group were able to travel together and enjoy the safari section as a group,” said Salpi Gulbekian of The Daylight Club.  “This was made possible by the generous donation from St Albans Round Table who paid for the wheelchair accessible coach.”

We are only too happy to use some of the money we’ve raised through events such as our annual Christmas float to support a local good cause such as The Daylight Club. We are really glad to hear everyone had a great day out at Woburn.
