Santa Float Food collection 2020

It’s clearly not Christmas yet but for some members of our community the Santa Float can’t come quickly enough!

During this challenging time, the St Albans District Food bank has supported an increased amount of people in the St Albans District. As a result, their reserves are depleted and have therefore asked St Albans Round Table if we can help – and we gladly want to do so!

We have mobilised our iconic Santa Float, dressed it up for the occasion and are getting ready for your donations for this incredibly important cause.

Remember social distancing. If you want to donate cash, there will be buckets mounted to the side of the float so you can put it in there. You can also donate online (see below),

Yes we will, and anything we collect will go to the St Albans and District Foodbank. However, we need to ensure social distancing is maintained. This means we will have donation buckets mounted on the side of the float and you can drop any donations there (please know that the Santa Float may be moving, so please keep yourself safe).

We are also trying to allow you to make contactless donations via card readers.

If you live in the area and your street is not on our route but want to donate you may still be able to donate. If you are able to carry your donations, you can track us online and come and meet the Float as we go round. We will be delighted to receive your donations! Please ensure that you are safe and that you are maintaining social distancing at all times.

You can track us live on our website so you can see when we are near you. Rumour has it that we may also play some music so you may just be able to hear us as we go round your area…
